Another Unknown Chinese? Sling

"I have a question regarding a sling that was attached to a Chinese Police
marked SKS I purchased recently. I don't think that this is a CHICOM sling
since it appears to be dated 1945. It may not even be a rifle sling - maybe
an equipment sling of some sort?  All markings stamped on the sling are on the underside of the
wide shoulder pad part....Udo"

Here is a star stamping with what appears to be an "8" in the middle.  Is this a Chinese mark?

This is interesting.  Looks like a 1945 date and a British / Commonwealth broadarrow stamp.

If anyone out there has any info they would like to share, please let me know....
