Information by T. P. Hern
I have seen quite a few of those and, while they are Austrian made (Stolla -
Wien in a cartouche right?) I am not sure that they were intended
for the M95. They do fit nicely and I have put them on the M95's in the past.
The blued metal buttons on them match those on post-WW2 Austrian
leather equipment that I have, so I suspect that they are post WW2 but anything
is possible. One fellow told me that they were made for the
Austrian semi-autorifle in use in the 1960's, but since I am not familiar with
that rifle and don't collect them, I'm not going to bet my life on
that. The leather they are made of is exceptionally high quality and many of
those I have seen are in brand new condition.
