German 08/15 Maxim Machine Gun Sling

Pictured below are both a reproduction and original Maxim sling.  The original sling is the one shown with darker aged leather.

This is a museum quality reproduction copied from the original shown in the photos. Original slings are considered one of the rarest accessories for the WW1 German water-cooled Maxim machine gun MG08/15. The original web used in the original was of poor quality and would rot or deteriorate in a short time, especially in trench warfare conditions. Original photo's rarely show the sling in use. The reproduction is completely hand stitched with hand made, lead coated buckles to match original.
