French MAS 38 Sling

Attached photo is that of a French Mas38 Sub-Machinegun, with original sling. As you can see, the sling is the typical French design. The width is approximately one inch, and that remains constant over the entire length. (no taper) Length is approximately 39 inches, with an embossed edge line. There is a single eyelet, coupled with a milled steel, attachment stud. The brass buckle is sewn on. There are no stamps or dates on the sling.

Note: But for the added length, the sling is identical to your French "mystery" sling. What you call 15/16, I have rounded off to one inch. The width is the same. This may not solve the mystery, but it did prompt me to add the Mas38 sling to your database.
