M38 Tropical Web Sling

A very unusual sling.  This is a tropical web sling for the M38 Carcano.

"Improptu" Carcano Sling

Above is an impromptu Carcano sling on a M41 rifle.  For a "quick" Carcano sling, use a repro K98 sling by disregarding the thru the butt keeper part.  The Italians were given permission to copy the K98 sling in this fashion. (Hobbs, page 52)

Above:  Carcano sling that has been marked with the Finnish acceptance mark "SA".  Many Italian Carcano rifles and accoutrements went to Finland after WWII.

"Wide" Carcano Sling - Information by David Franchi

 The "wide" Carcano sling, it is similar to the narrow sling but the strap is 1 1/4" wide and the buckle is 1 7/8" wide x 1 3/8" tall made of steel with a brass keeper.  If anyone has a picture of this sling they would like to share, please let me know NOT TAKING E-MAIL AT THIS TIME
