Reproduction and Fake Slings

Let me qualify what I consider a reproduction and what I consider a fake:

Reproduction Sling - Copy of a collectable sling that is made post-era.  Marked as such.  For the benefit of historical re-enactors, display items, or field use on old weapons.  There is nothing morally wrong with a reproduction sling, as it is not made to deceive anyone.

Fake Sling - Copy of a collectable sling that is made post-era.  Not marked as such, but rather marked with PERIOD DATES and MARKINGS, with no indication that it is not an original.  I consider these to be nothing more than frauds, made to rip off collectors.
